#1 - MUST KNOW NEWS
🖥 The experiment was designed to measure how AI bots interact with one another in a social setting. The bots used natural language processing and machine learning to chat and even ordered virtual drinks.
Still, bots at times were not able to retrieve relevant information and thus “chose less typical locations for their actions.” For example, bots opted to go to a nearby bar (intended as a happy hour tryst) for lunch, and developed an afternoon drinking habit.

🤖Generative AI, which creates deep fakes, mimics language, and deceives humans faces regulation.
Both the Cyberspace Administration of China and The National Telecommunications and Information Administration of the US Department of commerce are taking AI more seriously.
❓The US approach questions data access, accountability, and how AI is approached differently across industries. China is concerned with the ‘validity of data’ used to train generative AI models.
The US’ and China’s motivations for regulation differ, yet they both recognize the risks associated with generative AI’s promise and reach.
🦾 Discussions of regulation occur in parallel with the Pentagon asking Congress for $2 billion for artificial intelligence to stay ahead in “the arms race of our generation.” Reportedly, China is spending $1.6 billion for military AI research and development.

Frame Breaker: Our minds cannot compute the growth of ChatGPT nor the role of it in our lives a year from now. When you first heard about Instagram, you probably thought, why would I need a new version of Facebook? What will ChatGPT do for us a year from now? What do you think?
